How does the Residence work?

When you arrive, at Reception you will be given a guide with comprehensive information on how the Residence works as well as explanations on how to move around Barcelona and its many cultural attractions.

You will also find all you need to know about the district of SarriÓ, where there is a great variety of establishments and pedestrian areas. A district with a rural atmosphere in Barcelona. If you have any queries or questions you can contact Reception 24-hours a day.

How do I apply for a place?

  • Hand in the duly completed registration form, together with all the documents stated on the form. You can send it via e-mail or fax or personally at the reception desk.
  • You will have to attend a personal interview. The Admissions Department contacts the applicants to arrange the interviews.
  • The Admissions Department will notify you on the acceptance of your application. You will have to pay a deposit of 2,000 euro to guarantee the place. This deposit will be returned at the end of your stay.

I am not sure if I should share a room with someone else.

Experience has shown us that sharing a room, at least during the first year, makes it easier to get to know other people and feel less alone. If you do not know anybody or do not know with whom you wish to share, we will assign you a room-mate, taking into account your studies, courses, preferences, etc.

What should I bring when I come to the Residence

The room you will occupy will be completely furnished and, therefore, in principal, you only need to bring your own personal things and a towel to use in the sports centre. The Residence will provide sheets and towels for the room, changing the sheets once and week and the towels twice a week.

What do the rates/my monthly fees include?

The monthly fees include: expenses for accommodation, cleaning and change of towels twice a week and one change of sheets a week; breakfast, lunch and dinner from Monday to Sunday, WiFi internet, the use of all the communal rooms in the Residence (cinema, music, study, computers, etc.), access to the sports facilities, 24-hour Reception and provincial and national landline calls.

What extra costs will I have?

The monthly fees do not include expenses for: photocopy cards, colour prints, motorbike parking, car parking, laundry tokens, calls to mobiles or international calls.

How does one obtain a grant?

To opt for one of the grants offered by the Residence, you must apply using the form"Solicitud de Beca" you will find on this page.

If you contact us by e-mail or fax, we can send you all the necessary information and answer any queries you may have.
