Sports Areas: Can Caralleu

The Residence offer all residents the opportunity of using the Can Caralleu sports facilities completely free of charge. Multi-sports complex adjacent to the Residence.
Reception will provide you with all the necessary information and indicate how to obtain an access pass to the sports centre.

Can Caralleu offers an extensive programme of activities, with over 100 sessions of sports, aquatic and fitness activities a week, all freely accessible.


Can Caralleu has the following facilities:

Three swimming pools (25x12.5m, 25 x 12m and 8x11m), fitness room, spinning room, 3 multipurpose rooms, 4 tennis courts, 2 paddle tennis courts, athletics track, football pitch, multi-sports area, solarium and pine wood, pavilion hydro massage, sauna, locker rooms and cafeteria.

Highlighted facilities: 

Climbing gym
Can Caralleu has the largest climbing gym in Barcelona: 150 square metres of climbing area on a 12 metre high wall inside the pavilion. The climbing gym also has beginners routes, overhangs, 13 hanging chains and over 600 holds.

Boulder
Can Caralleu has a boulder that is 9 metres wide and 3 metres wide, with over 600 holds and 3 slopes with up to 30-40º in overhang.


DESCRIPTION OF THE CAN CARALLEU SPORTS CENTRE ACTIVITIES

Aerobics, Aero boxing, External physical fitness: training circuits, group activities and games.

Fitball: Force activities with giant balls that favour good posture and improve pelvic stability and propioception.

GAC: Localised toning of buttocks, abdomen and legs.

Gravity circuit: Force activity circuit using gravity machines, combined with force-resistance and cardiovascular exercises using different equipment.

Nordic Walk: Outdoor cardiovascular exercises, consisting in walking with the help of special rods designed to work the upper body.

Spinning: Indoor cycle pedalling to music with the aim of providing aerobic capacity and toning the lower body muscles.

Step: Dance steps designed to improve co-ordination and aerobic resistance, using steps.

Toning: Improvement of muscle tone through simple exercises and using different equipment.

Pump Tone: Session that works muscle resistance with the help of bars and disks of more or less weight, co-ordinated with rhythmic exercises.Tono.

Total Body Conditioning (TBC): Session that combines the benefits of the aerobic sessions with muscle toning sessions carried out at intervals.

Sports badminton, basketball and volleyball.

Beginners and perfection training in sports with physical, technical and tactical work.

Aqua games, Aqua circuit, Aquacambi, Aqua dance, Aqua fitness: General toning activities for the entire body through exercise.
